I am a serious amateur photographer. I belong to the Contra Costa Camera Club and to the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) where I compete on a regular basis in the San Francisco Bay Area. The categories of competition include:

PICTORIAL NATURE TRAVEL JOURNALISM CREATIVE

Travel to COSTA RICA, ,see the beaches, the birds, the flora (in particular the

Heliconias) an the flora and fauna of Tortuguero National Park, on the north atlantic coast, near the border with Nicaragua.

and look at the photos I took during my "Photographic Workshops" with professional photographer Victor Giordano.

KYOKUSHIN KARATE

In 1975 I obtained my first degree (Sho Dan) Black Belt at the Centro Costarricense de Karate in San Jose, Costa Rica, from Sensei Roberto McLean, in the Kyokushin style of Karate.

My family and myself currently train at the Kyokushin School of Karate of Pleasant Hill, California, owned and directed by Sensei Tyrone Wah, fourth degree Kyokushin Black Belt, and also led by Sensei Gary White, fifth (Go Dan) Kyokushin Black Belt.
